Hi, Besides bananas - what other veggies can I cut up and put on my lawn without making my lawn a complete compost bin. In other words, my soil is really bad and I'm putting new soil with a mushroom/sand mixture on it along with grass seed. However, over time I want to avoid manufactured fertilizers. Is there an optimum veggie mixture I can create and spread on my lawn?

Now our lawn is covered with snow. But I'm dreaming of spring / summer and it's not too early to start planing for spring garden and lawn care. Thanks for the information.
