Writer Bios

Mundy Wilson Piper of Chippers IncMundy Wilson Piper President and CEO. The former widow of the late William A. Russell Jr. (1986 founder of the company), Mundy has been with Chippers since 2000, first as the Business Manager and as President/CEO in 2010. Mundy sets the vision and strategic direction for the company.

Before Chippers she managed medical practices, and studied English/ Environmental Science at the University of Vermont and Business Management at Salve Regina. A Vistage member since 2011, she also serves on several community and industry boards including the Tree Care Industry Association.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her extensive family (she is now remarried and has a blended family of six kids), gardening, hiking, skiing, traveling, reading and writing.

Fun facts:

Mundy loves all kinds of flowers, but for some reason, not yellow tulips. She’s also obsessed with stone work and outdoor room creation. Her mantra: ‘when mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy,’ and that applies both at home and at work.








Cal Felicetti 150Cal Felicetti Sales Consultant & Consulting Arborist, became part of the team in 2002 when Chippers Inc. purchased his successful company Treescapes. It is our good fortune that Cal continues to work with Chippers providing outstanding service to his many clients, leading out Plant Health Care division and sharing his broad and no-nonsense view on all things tree related to clients, co-workers and readers of This Old Yard blog.

And does Cal know trees. He is a qualified member of the American Society of Consulting Arborists, and provides advice, opinion and written reports on the diagnosis, appraisal and evaluation of arboricultural issues. Cal is a certified arborist with both the ISA and NH Arborist Association, a member of the VT Association of Professional Horticulturalists and certified as a Pesticide Applicator in VT and NH, and a NH Supervisory Commercial Pesticide Applicator.

When not at work or bragging about his wife, three sons and one daughter, you will find Cal reading, learning about wine, bee keeping, riding his bike, working in the garden, traveling or creating something memorable in his kitchen. He makes a mean tomato sauce.

Fun Fact:

Cal’s favorite tree is the White oak for its lobbed leaves and lateral habit.








Theron Peck Turf Division Manager, created the turf division in 2008 focusing on proven methods as well as embracing organic and natural turf care options. As a certified ISA arborist, plant health care professional, and a Master Turf Manager, Theron has over 29 years in the landscape industry.

AKA Mr Grass, Theron’s passion is all things lawn related. With four daughters and six grandchildren, Theron also enjoys cooking, music, movies and writing.

Fun Facts:

Theron is proud of his five rabbits that have lived inside with him for over 20 years as pets. This includes Mr. Bigs, a Flemish giant, and four Dutch rabbits.







MonicaMonica Collise Garden Division Manager, heads up Chippers garden maintenance, installations, and greenhouse since 2013. As a former greenhouse manager for her family business and others, she grew up with horticulture and gardening with a passion for all things green. Container design, maintenance, and interiorscapes are her specialties.

Monica is frequently a guest speaker at garden clubs in the area, as well as a member of the Quechee Garden Club, leading presentations about planning, planting, and helpful tips for successful garden maintenance. Monica earned her BS in Environmental Science/Geology with a minor in Sustainability at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Monica enjoys spending time with her husband and dog hiking, biking, and foraging for forest edibles as well as working in her own gardens.
